Expert Talk on “Career Opportunities in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics”

The webinar on – Career Opportunities in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics – was organized by MRCDOE on 04 Novemeber 2023, for all BBA, MBA, MCA, BCA, BCOM and MCOM students. A total of 50 students joined this program in online mode. The lecture was delivered successfully by Prof Gaurav Shekhar,  from 10:00 to 11:00 am IST.

Gaurav Shekhar is the Assistant Dean for the Graduate Programs at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. He is the youngest Dean in the school’s history, a place that has been raising all possible rankings in the country. He is also the youngest Board member of the US-India Chamber of Commerce, a body at the epicenter of the relationship between the two countries. Gaurav leads the Young Entrepreneurs Program as the Co-Chair. He led the Toastmasters District of North Texas as its Youngest District Director in 2019. In a short amount of time, Gaurav has made a strong impression. He has successfully run programs that are bringing Academia and the Industry together. He works with dozens of CXOs in a strategic capacity by establishing programs that not only get top talent into the industry but also help these organizations benefit through Research and Development and various other programs. He has helped thousands of students find jobs and internships in the last seven years. He was awarded the 40 under 40 award by the Dallas Business Journal and recently added to ‘Dallas 500’, a list curated by the D Magazine, that lists the most influential leaders in the North Texas region.

Very pertinent questions were raised by students of all disciplines, regarding job opportunities across Digital marketing domains so on and so forth. With the promise of a great career ahead Dr Soma proposed a hearty vote of thanks and  ended the discussion, with the promise of much more to come as a second session in Digital Marketing for online students.
