Fresher's Party 2022
Centre for Distance and Online Education, MRIIRS successfully organized its 1st “Fresher’s Party” for the students of Batch 2022. The purpose of a Fresher’s Party is to welcome new students in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. It is the day where seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college. Students of First Year (Batch:2022-23)-MBA,BBA,MCA,BCA,M.COM, B.COM, BA(H) Economics were welcomed with full fervor and zeal to the virtual party which was organized by team of Centre for Distance and Online Education, in the Syndicate room at 10 AM.
The program started with a welcome address given by Director, CDOE Lt-Gen. Dr. R.K. Anand where he motivated the students with his words of wisdom, followed by a formal round of Team Introduction-CODE. Also, small games were organized to make the function trickier and fun including Bollywood Trivia, Guess Who, Spin the wheel and Just in Time etc.
In ‘Bollywood Trivia’ activity, Bollywood songs and Personalities were portrayed to the students, based upon which they had to answer the respective questions.
In ‘Guess Who’ activity, certain pictorial clues of renowned personalities were shown to students which they had to guess and answer. The students thoroughly enjoyed all the games.
This activity was followed by ‘Spin the wheel’, wherein numbering was allotted to each student, corresponding to which an activity was performed by every student based on the spin.
To promote comprehensive participation, an activity named ‘Just in Time’ was also organized, where in the students who didn’t get any opportunity in previous activities, were given the avenue to showcase their talents. Students played beautiful rhythms of piano, and displayed great skills of Art in the form of splendid paintings.
Thereafter, Fresher’s along with their seniors got a chance to showcase their talent by a stunning Ramp walk, various Dance performances for Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher, 2022. Talking about the ramp walk, it was conducted in two rounds. In the Round 1- the participants walked on the ramp and gave poses towards the audiences. The audiences enjoyed the fashion show and they encouraged the participants by making hooding sounds. Later in the Round 2- the participants showcased their talents through Dance performances, songs and mimicry etc. The students participated with full enthusiasm and coordination. After this, in Round-3 a Question & Answers session was conducted by Panel of Jury members, based upon which the Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher were finalized. Mr. Prabhat & Ms. Kannan Goyal were chosen as the Mr. and Ms. Fresher, respectively. Ms. Diya is awarded as Ms. Beautiful and Mr. Divyansh is awarded as Mr. handsome too.
The participants and winners of all the activities were announced and felicitated with Certificates and Prizes.
The event ended with a Jam Session where all the faculty members and students danced to the beats removing all the stress and enjoying pure bliss. A total of 70 students participated in the event making it a success.
